Rotten apple

RE:PULP

This project involved reimagining a discarded apple as a sustainable material solution, resulting in the development and promotion of RE:PULP, a compostable sheet material made entirely from apple pulp waste. The material naturally forms a warm cream tone derived from the tannins present in the apple, eliminating the need for dyes or bleaching while reinforcing its organic and environmentally conscious identity. Its texture and durability allow it to be pressed into food-safe packaging, wrapping, or used as a printable surface for labels, offering versatility without compromising sustainability. The branding and billboard advertisement highlight this transformation from waste to resource, using clean visual hierarchy and natural tones to communicate both function and story. Designed to appeal primarily to families seeking practical, eco-friendly alternatives to everyday packaging, RE:PULP positions itself as an accessible and meaningful shift away from single-use plastics.
